Kay Erickson to Serve as Acting Director of the Employment Department
Governor Kate Brown has named State Budget Manager Kay Erickson to serve as the Employment Department’s acting director, replacing Lisa Nisenfeld. Erickson’s position is effective immediately.
"Kay Erickson brings the experience of a key leader in the Department of Administrative Services and the perspective of a long-time state government veteran," said Governor Brown. "Everyday, the Employment Department connects workers with the jobs that help their families and communities thrive. As our state grows and the needs of Oregonians evolve, Kay will help ensure the department stays focused on this essential service."
A seasoned executive with state and private-sector experience, Erickson has served in key leadership posts within the departments of Administrative Services and Consumer and Business Services. Erickson will use her strong management skills and open communication style as long-term leadership needs are considered for the agency.
