Governor Kotek Submits Appointments for Senate Confirmation
Today, Governor Tina Kotek submitted a list of state board and commission appointments to the Oregon Senate for confirmation. The Senate Committee on Rules is scheduled to consider the nominations on February 6 during the 2024 legislative session.
“Oregonians are hungry to tackle problems – and they have the drive and ideas to be forces for positive change,” Governor Kotek said. “The individuals I am nominating today embody that value, and I look forward to the positive impact they will each bring to their respective boards and commissions.”
The full list of nominees is available here.
Governor Kotek also submitted a list of nominations in October 2023, which will be considered by the Senate Committee on Rules on February 6. The list of nominations includes agency directors for the Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA), Department of Corrections (DOC), Oregon Health Authority (OHA), and the Oregon Department of Veterans’ Affairs (ODVA), official announcement of Dr. Nakeia Daniels appointment forthcoming.
The Governor makes appointments to over 265 Boards and Commissions representing a broad range of areas and issues. This includes most major state agencies and departments headed by policy-making boards. There are additional application opportunities within existing boards and commissions.
