Corvallis Microfluidics Tech Hub will receive $45 million in federal funding for the development, scaling, and commercialization of microfluidics technology

Today, Governor Tina Kotek issued a statement in response to the announcement today from the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Economic Development Administration (EDA) that Corvallis Microfluidics Tech Hub, led by Oregon State University, is selected to receive $45 million in federal funding.

“This milestone is just one example of how Oregon is leading the way in critical research and development,” Governor Kotek said. “This opportunity showcases Oregon’s close partnership between higher education and private industry, where everyone is working together towards a thriving economy.

“From the beginning, my office has been supportive of CorMic, recognizing the value this economic engine will bring to our state and to the semiconductor, biotechnology, and advanced materials industries. The significance of this work will impact the economy and national security across the globe, from here in Oregon. My office is excited to continue to support the ongoing work of CorMic as Oregon continues on the path of global microfluidics leadership.”
