Governor Kitzhaber names Tracey O’Brien as Workforce Policy Coordinator
Salem, OR — Governor Kitzhaber today announced that Tracey O'Brien will serve as his Workforce Policy Coordinator.
“We're fortunate to be adding Tracey to the team,” said Governor Kitzhaber. “Her extensive background and expertise will help us in our efforts to better align Oregon's workforce programs with the needs of employers, and ensure Oregonians have the foundational skills, problem-solving skills, and industry-specific training needed to compete for jobs.”
Ms. O'Brien most recently served as an Attorney-Adviser for the Chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Office of Legislative Affairs in Washington, D.C. Prior to that, she spent over 10 years as Senior Legal Counsel at the Washington State House of Representatives focusing primarily on higher education, economic development, trade and state government policy.
She has a J.D. from Santa Clara University in California and a B.A. from the University of Rochester in New York.
