Governor Kotek Hosts 2024 Governor's Marketplace Conference and Tradeshow in Portland: ‘Meaningful Engagement’
The event promotes and expands regional small business contract opportunities with government

Yesterday, Governor Tina Kotek, the Department of Administrative Services (DAS) and Business Oregon, hosted the Governor’s Marketplace 2024 Conference and Tradeshow in Portland. Over 600 attendees convened to learn about public contracting opportunities and business resources available to Oregonians across the state.

“Diversifying the footprint of business and state partnerships is a critical tool to keep Oregon’s economy moving forward,” Governor Kotek said. “The Governor’s Marketplace is where we can deepen and expand these partnerships and help generate equitable prosperity for diverse communities and regions of our state. This year’s theme, Meaningful Engagement, is a call to action for the state and business owners to break down barriers and collaborate to make Oregon work for everyone.”

“As a past sponsor of the annual Governor's Marketplace, Mackenzie is thrilled Governor Kotek has brought the event to Portland,” Jan Mason, Associate Principal of Mackenzie said. “The opportunity to connect with potential teaming partners and meeting with business owners directly supports our supplier diversity commitment. Meeting in person and getting to know particularly COBID companies helps to promote authentic conversations which we hope will lead to meaningful contract opportunities.”
