As Election Day approaches, the Secretary of State’s Office is alerting Oregonians that results from some races in Portland using ranked choice voting will not be displayed on the Secretary of State reporting site.
Results from City of Portland contests that use ranked choice voting will be available only via Multnomah County Elections at rcvresults.multco.us.
The Secretary of State’s Office will post statewide election results starting at 8 p.m. on Election Day, November 5, at https://results.OregonVotes.gov. Contests that do not use ranked choice voting will be depicted as always.
That site, commonly referred to as Election Night Reporting (ENR), will show zero values for Portland ranked choice voting contests. The ENR site is not as well-equipped as Multnomah County Elections to accurately depict ranked choice voting results.
The contests that use ranked choice voting and will be impacted by this decision are:
- Mayor, City of Portland
- Portland City Council District 1
- Portland City Council District 2
- Portland City Council District 3
- Portland City Council District 4
- Auditor, City of Portland
Members of the media with questions about ENR results feeds should contact communications director Laura Kerns.
