The Secretary of State Election’s Division is providing public notice of a judicial vacancy and the deadline for interested candidates to file for election.
Due to a resignation, there is a vacancy in position 38 in the Circuit Court, Fourth Judicial District.
The filing deadline for the November General Election was August 27th. Because the Elections Division was not made aware of this vacancy until after the filing deadline, a temporary administrative rule has been adopted to extend the filing deadline for this position for interested candidates.
Those who wish to file as a candidate to be elected Circuit Court Judge in the Fourth Judicial District must submit their candidate filing to the Elections Division no later than noon, September 5th, 2024.
