All Oregon voters can now sign up to receive updates on the status of their ballot for the November 2026 general election, from when it is sent to them, to when their ballot is accepted for counting, at OregonVotes.gov/Track.

“Every voter in Oregon, no matter where they live, deserves the same access to their ballot and the same confidence that their vote counts,” Oregon Secretary of State Tobias Read said. “This tool gives voters a quick, easy, and secure way to track their ballot through the process and get alerted if there are any issues with their signature on their ballot. This is a great upgrade for voters and for Oregon’s gold standard vote-by-mail elections.”

Secretary Read’s video announcement is available here.

The only information voters will need to provide to sign up is first and last name, date of birth, and zip code. The information must exactly match the information on their voter record.

Voters can choose to get updates via text, email, or phone call. Updates will be sent at three key points:

  • When your ballot is sent to you by the county elections office
  • When your ballot is received by the county elections office
  • When your ballot is accepted for counting

If a ballot is not accepted because of a ballot signature issue, an update will be sent so the voter can take steps to make sure their vote is counted.

This service was previously available for voters in Clackamas, Marion, Multnomah, Washington, and Yamhill counties. All voters in those counties will continue to receive alerts and they can also use OregonVotes.gov/Track to sign up as the service is expanded to every other county in the state.
