Pacificorp's Transportation Electrification Programs Approved
SALEM, Ore. – The Oregon Public Utility Commission (OPUC) approved PacifiCorp's application to implement three pilot programs designed to accelerate transportation electrification within their service territory. These programs will be capped at $4.64 million, and include a demonstration and development program, an education and outreach program, and a proposal to install, own, and operate up to seven charging sites.
Details about the three pilot programs are as follows:
PacifiCorp will encourage non-residential customers to submit applications to implement their own transportation electrification projects. PacifiCorp will establish criteria to select programs to receive grant funds for workplace charging and fleet vehicle electrification.
PacifiCorp will implement a program to increase awareness and access to reliable information about electric transportation options and benefits to encourage widespread use by their utility customers.
PacifiCorp will install, own, and operate up to seven publically accessible charging sites within its Oregon service territory to help ensure access to accessible charging infrastructure. Each site will feature up to four DC fast chargers and a minimum of one Level 2 charger. The specific site locations have yet to be determined.

The Public Utility Commission of Oregon (PUC) regulates customer rates and services of the state's investor-owned electric, natural gas and telephone utilities, as well as select water companies.
