Oregon Department of Emergency Management Launches Statewide Continuity of Operations Planners' Community of Practice

The Oregon Department of Emergency Management (OEM) has launched a statewide Community of Practice (CoP) for Continuity of Operations (COOP) Planners. This initiative brings together professionals responsible for COOP planning, disaster recovery, and emergency management to share best practices, lessons learned, and resources to ensure critical government functions continue during and after an emergency. OEM staff will host a series of meetings for the programs as well as providing Bimonthly Updates beginning on March 13. OEM is also collaborating with partners in WA and ID to establish a Region 10 community of practice—more info to come!
