WASHINGTON, MAR. 26, 2026 – Ajinomoto Foods North America, Inc. is recalling additional products that may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically glass, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
This marks an expansion of the recall previously reported by ODA on February 19, 2026 [see ODA's original press release here]; whereas the first release was related to the USDA's recall announcement centered around products containing meat, this notice is specific to the FDA's recall announcement centered around products that do not contain meat.
The recalled products involved are for 11 FDA products. Ajinomoto initiated a voluntary recall of these 11 FDA regulated products (eight fried rice and three gyoza products) that may be contaminated with foreign material, specifically glass, on 3/3/26.
You may view the public Enforcement Report of the Ajinomoto FDA regulated products class II recall here, which contains detailed information about the products involved/affected by this recall.
