This statewide recognition underscores the importance of working together to strengthen Oregon’s digital resilience.

Enterprise Information Services (EIS) and the state of Oregon are proud to join this observance. Now in its 23rd year, Cybersecurity Awareness Month is a call to action for everyone to take responsibility for their online safety. This year’s theme, “Building a Cyber Strong Oregon,” will focus will four key areas to help build a cyber strong Oregon: Recognize and Report Scams, Keep Technology Secure and Use AI Safely, Use Strong Passwords, and Enable Multifactor Authentication. With this focus, we can all help protect Oregon’s information, systems, and services.

"Think before you click: Cyber safety starts with a single choice," says Oregon's Chief Information Security Officer Ben Gherezgiher, "Our strongest firewall is a cyber-aware workforce."

Cybersecurity isn’t just the job of IT or cybersecurity professionals. Everyone has a role to play in safeguarding our digital environment. Throughout October, EIS Cybersecurity Awareness Month is an opportunity for every individual, organization, and community to strengthen their defenses and contribute to a safer, more resilient Oregon.
