• Pesticides and Poisons
• Paint and Paint Thinners
• Household Cleaners
• Motor Oil
• Antifreeze
• Engine and Brake Cleaner
• Transmission and Brake Fluid
• Thermometers (trade in your mercury thermometer for a free digital thermometer )
• Thermostats
• Mercury and mercury-containing items
• Fluorescent Tubes
• Polishes
• Pool Chemicals
• Rust Remover
• Solvents
• Degreasers
• Automotive/Marine Paint
• Wood Preservatives
• Kerosene/Gas
• Arts and Craft Supplies
• Adhesives
• Photographic Chemicals
Items not accepted:
• explosives
• asbestos
• ammunition
• products that contain radioactive waste, such as many smoke detectors.
DEQ will screen all products for reuse, recycling, or disposal. Reusable items will be made available for free to local residents.
