DEQ penalizes JSH Farms in Hermiston $1,400 for filing late annual reports

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality issued a $1,400 penalty to JSH Farms, Inc. for filing its 2014 and 2015 annual reports after the deadline. The company operates gas-fired boilers at its industrial facility, located at 84186 Highway 37 in Hermiston. The reports include information about fuel usage, emissions and maintenance, and must be submitted by February 15 of each year. The company submitted its 2014 annual report on March 24, 2015 and its 2015 report on February 24, 2016. DEQ issued the penalty because annual reports are in important mechanism to ensure operational and emission limits in the permit are followed.
