DEQ fines Lake Oswego business $650 for dry cleaner violation

The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality fined Gina’s Inc. $650 for failing to provide accurate dry cleaner reports to DEQ in 2013, 2014, and 2015 for its Gina’s Cleaners facility at 16841 SW 65th Ave. in Lake Oswego. DEQ issued this penalty because failing to accurately report and pay accurate revenue-based fees is a serious violation of Oregon law and reduces funding for the prevention and cleanup of releases of hazardous solvent to the environment. Gina’s submitted revised reports in October and is now in compliance. Gina’s has until Nov. 15 to appeal the fine.
