Environmental Quality Commission to meet Thursday, May 23 in Portland (hybrid)

The Oregon Environmental Quality Commission will hold its next regular meeting on May 23, 2024, at the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality headquarters in Portland and via Zoom.

DEQ staff will present a proposed rule for the commission’s consideration that addresses the Power River Basin Bacteria total maximum daily load (TMDL).

The agenda also includes:

  • Proposed onsite system permit modifications for the Lazy Days RV and Mobile Home Park along the McKenzie River under the regulations of the Three Basin Rule.
  • Recognition of DEQ’s 2024 Ambassadors of Public Service award nominees.
  • Staff briefings on DEQ’s Strategic Plan; Reduce, Reuse, Reimagine grants; Oregon Beach Monitoring Program; and more.

The meeting will take place in the Third Floor Conference Room at the DEQ Headquarters, 700 NE Multnomah St., Portland, OR 97232.
