The Oregon Public Utility Commission certifies persons and companies that sell electricity directly to the non-residential customers of Portland General Electric and PacifiCorp. Such electricity service suppliers must be certified before they can offer service.

This license allows the holder to perform electrical work associated with the installation, alteration, repair and maintenance of elevators. This work is limited to the wiring from the load side of the main disconnecting means for the elevator.

Electrical minor labels are permits, sold in lots of 10, for minor electrical installations. One installation from each lot of 10 is inspected.

An electrical contractor license is a specialized license allowing a company to engage in the business of making electrical installations.

Electrical specialty code inspectors conduct inspections and plan reviews on commercial and residential electrical work ​to ensure compliance with the Oregon Electrical Specialty Code (OESC). These inspectors must also hold an active Oregon Inspector Certification (OIC).

This license allows the holder to conduct on-site construction inspections of electrical work regulated by the Oregon Residential Specialty Code, excluding apartment buildings. Must also hold an active Oregon Inspector Certification.

The Oregon Public Utility Commission registers persons or companies that create buying groups of non-residential customers of Portland General Electric and PacifiCorp for purposes of buying electricity from alternative electricity suppliers.

Make renewable energy system installations. Must be employed by a limited renewable energy contractor or electrical contractor.
