Prerequisites and Requirements

Prerequisites

Carriers must have an Oregon account and U.S. DOT number. Trucks must have an annual Oregon registration. A truck can be precleared to pass Oregon Green Light weigh stations if the:
- Company's account is not suspended.
- Truck meets size and weight regulations.
- Company does not have an unsatisfactory safety rating.
- Company has acceptable scores in the Comprehensive Safety Analysis categories used by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration to evaluate motor carriers.

Trucks operating under an over-dimension variance permit, other than an Extended Weight Permit, must report to the weigh station even if they receive a green light signal on the transponder.
