Description
Certified Engineering Geologists (CEG) are Registered Geologist who have attained an additional certification as part of their training and experience. A CEG applies geologic data, principles and interpretation to Earth materials so that geologic factors affecting design, construction and maintenance of civil engineering works are properly recognized and utilized. Specialty training, experience, and testing are required for an RG to be certified as a CEG.

Continuing Education Requirements
