Description
This contractor may arrange, and/or perform an unlimited amount of building trades on commercial property. There is no difference in the type or amount of work that can be done by a level 1 or level 2 contractor.

Renewal Information
Continuing education must be completed before submitting a completed renewal application and fee. The commercial bond and certificate of insurance must be valid before the renewal can be processed.

Prerequisites and Requirements
Prerequisites
Every licensee must have a Responsible Managing Individual (RMI), who has completed a 16-hour training on Business Practices and Law from an approved CCB provider, and passed the required exam.
Level 1 requires that key employees have 8 years of construction-related experience.
Level 2 requires that key employees have 4 years of construction-related experience.
Required Documentation
Proof of the bond and insurance must be submitted with the initial application, and be maintained at all times through the duration of the license.
Examination Information
The test fee is $60 each time it is taken. There are 80 multiple-choice questions, and it is an open-book test. The passing score is 70%.
Continuing Education Requirements
Continuing education is required for commercial contractors at each two-year renewal.
Bonding Requirements
Level 1 - $75,000 commercial bond / Level 2 - $20,000 commercial bond
Insurance Requirements
Level 1 - $2 million aggregate / Level 2 - $1 million aggregate
