$0.00 Apprentices are expected to pay the cost of tuition and the cost of books, this amount varies per committee. In some cases, these costs are paid by the employer or reimbursed to the apprentice by the apprenticeship committee.<br><br>Many programs require that apprentices have a basic tool kit and appropriate work clothes and safety equipment such as gloves or goggles. Description

This apprenticeship leads to the Limited Journeyman Manufacturing Plant Electrician license. Manufacturing plant electricians provide basic electrical maintenance on existing equipment in factories and industrial manufacturing facilities. They also install and wire electric motors and machinery of all sizes, and perform preventive maintenance on production and facilities equipment, initiate and modify electrical designs, and update electrical drawings.

Duration

8,000 hours (approximately 4 years).

Apprentice licenses are automatically renewed for active apprentices and trainees.
