Description

Install temporary feeders, branch circuits, and equipment used for the production of shows, exhibits, displays, festivals, conventions, stage, theater, film, or video productions; perform maintenance on temporary equipment. Must be employed by an electrical contractor.

Duration

License renewal is every three years on October 1.

Renewal Information

A renewal notice will be mailed to the licensee approximately six weeks prior to the expiration of their license. Continuing Education (if necessary) and fees will be explained on the renewal form. Renewal fees vary by license type

Duplicate License Requirements

If you lost your license or have changed your address and would like a replacement license, submit form 2523 from Building Codes website, along with appropriate $10 fee.

Prerequisites and Requirements

Prerequisites

(1) Official transcripts verifying 150 hours of required classroom training and verification of 4,000 hours of on-the-job experience obtained outside of Oregon.
OR
(2) Verification of 8,000 hours of on-the-job stage experience obtained outside of Oregon, broken down into specific work categories.

Examination Information

3 hour 52 questions open book. Upon approval, a list will be provided outlining approved exam material.
