Description
Any person performing an annual school bus or school activity vehicle inspection and signing the Annual Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance Report form 581-2255-M, or performing repairs on a school bus or school activity vehicle, must successfully complete a test administered by the Oregon Department of Education or designee and be certified over the contents of the School Bus Maintenance and Inspection Manual for Oregon School Buses, current edition.

Examination Information
A score of 80% or higher is required on the ODE Inspector Qualification Test in order to obtain your certificate. This examination can be proctored by an approved ODE proctor throughout the state or at the Oregon Department of Education in Salem. The maintenance manual which accompanies this examination can be obtained by the district or contractor for which you choose to work. The district or contractor may request copies of this manual by completing a Pupil Transportation Manual Form.
