Description
"Class I Wholesaler" for the purpose of these rules means any person operating or maintaining a wholesale distribution center, wholesale business or any other business in which prescription drugs, including controlled drugs, devices containing prescription drugs, medicinal chemicals, or poisons are sold, dispensed, stocked, exposed or offered for sale at wholesale to a pharmacy or other legally licensed drug outlets or persons and is required to comply with all pedigree requirements

Prerequisites and Requirements
Prerequisites
Each Wholesaler Class I must have a current Verified-Accredited Wholesale Distributors (VAWD) accreditation through the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy or have an inspection report from an approved state.
Required Documentation
Submission of an application on the form prescribed by the State Board of Pharmacy and applicable fees as required in OAR 855-110. See application for detailed list of required documents, which includes a copy of resident state license/registration and verification for all non-resident applicants.
Registration with the Oregon Secretary of State's Business registry is also required.

Bonding Requirements
A Wholesaler Class I that does not have a current Drug Distribution Accreditation (VAWD) must provide evidence of a $100,000 Surety Bond that lists the Oregon Board of Pharmacy as its sole beneficiary. Surety Bond must list the business address.
