Prerequisites

If a Veterinary Facility wants to use a Cat Scan or a Fluoroscopy machine, they need to request an exemption. Please contact Patty Thompson at patricia.a.thompson@oha.oregon.gov for the forms and instructions.

All handheld dental units must be approved by the OHA – Radiation Protection Services. Please reach out to Judy at judith.a.smith@oha.oregon.gov for a complete list of approved handheld dental units prior to purchase.

All x-ray registrants are required work with a vendor that holds a valid license issued from the OHA – Radiation Protection Services office to purchase a machine, have a machine installed, repaired, or calibrated. To verify the status of a license, please email Judy at judith.a.smith@oha.oregon.gov prior to conducting business with the vendor if they are unable to supply you with a copy of their current license.
