Description
Water treatment installers are authorized to make connections to potable water systems and indirect waste connections to existing drain waste and vent systems.
Duration
License renewal is every three years on April 1.
Renewal Information
A renewal notice will be mailed to the licensee approximately six weeks prior to the expiration of their license. Continuing Education (if necessary) and fees will be explained on the renewal form. Renewal fees vary by license type.
Duplicate License Requirements
If you lost your license or have changed your address and would like a replacement license, submit form 2523 from Building Codes website, along with appropriate $10 fee.
Prerequisites and Requirements
Prerequisites
A certificate of completion from a registered 18-month Oregon State Apprentice program or a referral letter from either the registered training committee or Oregon Plumbing Board approved training program.
OR
• Proof of 210 hours of lawful experience and training in all work categories
AND
• Proof of 3,000 hours of training in all of the subject areas
Required Documentation
Completed application with applicable fee
Copy of high school diploma, GED or equivalent
Copy of apprenticeship completion (if required by license type)
Experience qualification documents (if required by license type)
Examination Information
Three-hour, 52 question, open book exam. Upon approval, a list will be provided outlining approved exam material.
