Description
Individuals who inspect and provide a written report on the overall condition of a residential structure for a fee must be certified by CCB.
Duration
Recertification required every two years
Renewal Information
30 continuing education credits are required at each two-year renewal. The credits may be earned by taking classes from approved providers in approved subject areas, and/or participating in ride-alongs with inspectors or inspector applicants.

Prerequisites
Must submit application with documentation for at least 20 eligibility points earned by previously related exerience and/or education. This certification must be associated with a CCB license in order to be active.

Examination Information
The exam fee is $225. The four-hour exam consists of 200 multiple choice questions.
Continuing Education Requirements
Must complete 30 hours agency-approved CEU's every two years. Home Inspectors are exempt from CCB residential continuing education.

Certified Home Inspectors are required to be associated with a CCB license.
