Description
Install and replace solar heating and cooling systems, including collectors, heat transfer systems, heat storage and associated piping related to:
(A) Replacement or solar conversion of an existing water heating or cooling system;
(B) Installation of collectors, heat transfer systems, storage tanks, pumps, valves and associated piping; and
(C) Installation of piping and related appurtenances applicable to the temperature pressure relief valve.
Duration
License renewal is every three years on April 1.
Renewal Information
A renewal notice will be mailed to the licensee approximately six weeks prior to the expiration of their license. Continuing Education (if necessary) and fees will be explained on the renewal form. Renewal fees vary by license type.
Duplicate License Requirements
If you lost your license or have changed your address and would like a replacement license, submit form 2523 from Building Codes website, along with appropriate $10 fee.
Prerequisites and Requirements
Prerequisites
Proof of completion of a division approved training program that includes 2,288 hours of classroom and on-the-job training.

Proof of 2,000 hours of lawful experience and training in the categories listed in 918-695-0125(2)(c)
Required Documentation
Completed application with applicable fee
Copy of high school diploma, GED or equivalent
Copy of apprenticeship completion (if applicable)
Verification of work experience documents (if required by license type)
Passport style photo with applicant's name on the back
Examination Information
Three-hour, 52 questions, open book. Upon approval, a list will be provided outlining approved exam material.
