Description
Certified mental health examiners examine alleged mentally ill persons going to a civil commitment hearing.

Prerequisites and Requirements
Prerequisites
Must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional with 3 years of experience, Must have 2 letters of recommendation from Qualified Mental Health Professionals and be recommended by the Community Mental Health Program Director.

Examination Information
Must attend Civil Commitment Investigator/Examiner Training provided by the Office of Mental and Addiction Services. Exam is administered at the training.
Continuing Education Requirements
Eight hours every three years.
