2008 Oregon Laws consists of one pamphlet containing the official version of all bills enacted by the Seventy-fourth Legislative Assembly at its special session held February 4 to 22, 2008, and legislative resolutions considered to be of public interest. Highlights include:
  • New identification requirements for driver licenses (Chapter 1, Oregon Laws 2008)
  • A legislative referral of laws related to property crimes (Chapter 14, Oregon Laws 2008)
  • New reporting requirements and duties for loan originators (Chapter 38, Oregon Laws 2008)
  • A prohibition on sales of recalled children's products (Chapter 31, Oregon Laws 2008)
  • New authority to suspend provisions of insurance contracts in emergencies (Chapter 22, Oregon Laws 2008)
  • New provisions regulating foreclosure consultants (Chapter 19, Oregon Laws 2008) Oregon Laws 2008 includes a subject index, bill-to-chapter tables and tables of ORS sections amended, repealed or “added to.” Oregon Laws 2008 also includes laws that are temporary in nature and will not be compiled in the Oregon Revised Statutes.
